Rory the Rocket ... His second month in pictures

Rory is fast becoming a bit of a bruiser!

This month he had many firsts:

  • His first smile
  • His first flight at 6 weeks old
  • His first night on his own without his mummy and daddy
He was also very lucky that he had visits from his Nanna and Grandad AND his Nanny and Papa.

Our weekend was spent ....

Friday

Making the most of a lazy Rory sleeping and getting up early to shower, eat breakfast and drink a hot cup of tea
Excited hellos and greetings for Dee and Ciara who I hadn't seen in 3 1/2 years
Cuddles and chats for Rory
Catching up over LOTS of tea
Eating lunch and getting ready to walk into town (even though the weather was rubbish)
Having to detour via the pub as the rain came on very heavy
Savouring one guilt free white wine spritzer while proudly showing off the boy to friends
Heading home and making pizza for tea
Listening to my brother and husband talk rubbish while "toasting" the arrival of Rory
Heading to bed knackered after getting up so early in the morning

Saturday

Another lazy morning post middle of the night/early morning feeds
Getting dressed and ready for Rory's first outing to Lincoln to listen to his Daddy play
Laughing at Dee being "hangry" (hungry, hungover and angry of course)
Hitting a cafe for lunch (us and Rory)
Stopping at Aldi for food supplies (now it's safe to shop in it as it made me feel ill while pregnant)
Dave, Dee and Ciara popping to ASDA for wine (and the pub for a drink)
Me and Rory making our first dinner in 4 weeks from scratch (yea, we were that lazy)
Eating food and having one sneaky glass of vino
Watching Glastonbury and scoffing a cheese board while Rory snoozed upstairs

Sunday

Loving Dee and Ciara for giving me a LIE IN
lazing around eating croissants and drinking tea
Making bacon sandwiches for lunch when Dave got in from work
Getting ready and heading for tea and ice cream
Heading for a walk by the river and popping into the pub to show off the wee man again
Coming home and demolishing baked Camembert and paella
Final Rory cuddles for Dee and Ciara and saying our goodbyes before their early flight the next morning

Rory the Rocket - his first month in pictures

A month ago on the 2nd of June 2014 a little human being appeared and changed our world. After a massively long and stressful 4 days of getting him here, the past month has been life changing and a massive learning curve. Rory is changing every single day and although he's found and can use his lungs MASSIVELY, he is amazing. We are totally smitten by this wee dude. Check out his (and our) photo journey below.
